Bike Lanes

Client: City of Langford
Completion Date: 2013 Q3

The City of Langford wanted to create viable and environment-friendly transportation options; part of this goal was to be achieved through an improved bike route network. To this end the City asked On Point Engineering to embark on a project to provide improved cycling facilities on some of the existing streets within the City of Langford. Dedicated bike lanes were added to Strathmore, Walfred, Atkins, Meaford, Station and Jacklin Roads.  Road widening and pavement marking additions and alterations were the primary tools in providing these bike lanes, all the while being conscious of safety considerations and avoiding vehicle / bike conflicts.
